Counting Down to Book Signing

In just 5 days, I'll be at my book signing--in fact I'll probably be walking through the doors of Borders at this very moment--it's going on 2:30 here/now.

Rather than think about this up-coming moment, or even what I'll wear--something warm, I assure you as the temps and wind here in Northern Ill. are brutal this time of year--I've been working on my third vampire novel. The second one I've gone through once, this past few weeks and I'm working on the third one in the Sabrina Strong Series. I've gotten into the 12th chapter, and over 41K words. I'm not concerned about words so much. I never worry about how many words I've written, or use it as my goal. It's a good way to gauge your work, I'll admit, but I like to have my goal as chapters. If I get one chapter done in a day, or if I'm working, at my job, I get that chapter done in a couple of days, or a nigh, I've accomplished something. I like the idea of having finished a chapter. This is ended on some note that should pull the reader to turn the page. Finding the right moment to end a chapter takes a little cunning and practice.

So, I just thought I would stop and take a little break, come to my Retreat.
